Master's Program in International Relations Summary
The Master's program in International Relations covers a wide range of topics, including theories, histories, and practices related to global politics.
Students will take compulsory courses on core subjects like International Relations Theory, Comparative Politics, and Security Studies.
They can also choose optional courses based on their interests. Throughout the program, students will develop essential skills in research, writing, and critical thinking.
The program culminates in a dissertation, allowing students to explore a specific area of interest in depth.
Minimum Eligibility
To be eligible for the program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- 12 years of schooling
- 3-year Bachelor’s degree from a government-recognized institution in any of the SAARC countries
- Minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate or an equivalent grade
Candidates with a 4-year Bachelor’s degree or a 2-year Bachelor’s degree and have cleared the first year of the Master’s programme are also eligible.
Format of the Entrance Test Paper
The Entrance Test will be conducted with the following format:
- Duration: 2 hours
- Number of Questions: 70 multiple choice questions
- Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking
The question paper will include multiple-choice questions assessing the applicant’s understanding of the subject area and their general awareness about South Asia and the world.
